Hmm, I also need to add the three first Rainbow albums and Slayer’s Seasons in the abyss. AC/DC, Led Zeppelin …. can I add Jimi Hendrix? Motörhead, Judas Priest….

At very rare occasions you stumble across great concerts. Sometimes
they are like pure magic. Sometimes even better. This was one of
them. OK, John Hiatt as s song writer has been a favorite of mine for
years. Ever since I heard Have a little faith in me I’ve been
stuck. I still remember listening to the album Bring the family for
the first time. Pure magic. Back to the concert.

Hearing favorite songs like Lipstick sunset live is fantastic. And
acoustic. No band. No nothing. Only John Hiatt, his music and his
magical voice. He seems to enjoy playing live. Enjoy being still being
married. I will not (try to) write more about the concert. Instead I
will ask you to but the album Bring the family. That album is very
high on my greatest albums list. The concert itself is heading for the
top. Neil young and Sonic Youth (both in Roskilde, Denmark) and Elvis
Costello (Spike tour) are the others I can think of. And perhaps Frank
Zappa in Stockholm.

John, please come back to the place you actually didn’t pronounce that
well: Storan

I tried to write some words about the show and discovered I suck at writing about music. I think I need to practice. Anyway, I deleted the text. For your sake.
it’s kind of fun to listen to one of my top[1] favorite artists alive and hear him talk between the songs. You can he’s from Gothenburg (my home town)
…. you can hear the show live in Swedish Radio 14 November

Across the Great Divide - a friend of mine (Kent, you should know better) called this a weak track. I’d say it’s one of The Band’s best. I love it.

The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down – Man, this is a classical song. The horns, the melody, the lyrics, everything is there. I remember listening to this song when they showed The Last Waltz on TV. Pure magic.

Virgil Caine is the name, and I served on the Danville train,
‘Til Stoneman’s cavalry came and tore up the tracks again.
In the winter of ‘65, We were hungry, just barely alive.
By May the tenth, Richmond had fell, it’s a time I remember, oh so well,

King Harvest – Great song. Excellent lyrics.

Then here come a man with a paper and pen
Tellin’ us our hard times are about to end.
And then, if they don’t give us what we like
He said, “Men, that’s when you gotta go on strike.”

Snowblind – the riff is so heavy and the meoldy of Ozzy’s song is so ¤%& beautiful. Easily a candidate for the best heavy metal song. If it wasn’t for XXX, it would have been the best song.

Wheels of Confusion – Can’t say what it is. Probably it is (again) Ozzy’s singing. just love this song.

I will not go into any details, but I will mention that I will now focus my work on FSF Europe, SELF, IT University, GnuPG.se and GNU Xnee. I will not start or join any project in a long time, apart from the one here below.

When listening to Black Sabbath’s album ‘Sabbath bloody sabbath’ I realised that it is my mission to gather my friends for a project called

Top 10 Heavy Metal/Hard Rock songs ever evening

I have promised to write a draft for the rules on what songs/artists allowed in the list.

When thinking about my list I will probably end up with 7 out of 10 songs from a band from Birmingham, England.

Apart from that little project I will now take two steps back and focus on the work I am supposed to do and also I will focus on my family and myself.

This is yet another Swedish singer song writer. Allan is probably most known for his acting in some Astrid Lindgren movies. He should be better known for his music and his fantasic lyrics. The album is: Allan Edwall / Vetahuteri .

Songs on the album:

Den lilla bäcken

Tummetotteri

Gullegubben

Familjeporträtt

Vaggvisa

En kråka flög

En rektig kär

Bestäm dig

Hamburg -46

Den svenska solen

En egen hjärtevän

Liksom stjärnorna

Allans music is typically nordic. I’ve read that he could not play any instrument so he sang the songs from his head to the musicians. I think Allan’s lyrics are the lyrics that touches me most.

I will not try to translate his lyrics so this is for the Swedish speaking audience:

Och i himlen sitter Fader VÃ¥r
liksom förr på Elyseums fält.
Och på jorden människorna går.
En av fetma dör och sju av svält .

Tummetotteri

Some more words from one of the best songs ever written by anyone:

Och jag blev man med hatt och stövlar tunga
och lärde tyglarna av lämplighet och sed
och lärde le när marken tycktes gunga
av tyngd från fiender som höggos ned.

Den lilla bäcken
