Help needed for Xnee: Test the “RECORD bug”

Do you have some extra minutes, help us out and test GNU Xnee.
For a while, Xnee has been malfunctioning on some platforms. Hopefully some code committed yesterday will "solve it all on all platforms" (uh oh, sounds like famous last words!!).

I have fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.4 (64 bit).
Installed xnee and gnee and all am able to achieve is a dialog box saying:
Description Record memory failure
Solution Xnee failed due to bad data received from RECORD extension
Number 35
Have you upgraded your Ubuntu?
What version of Xnee are you using?
cnee –version
This is solved with a newer version:
