Across the Great Divide - a friend of mine (Kent, you should know better) called this a weak track. I’d say it’s one of The Band’s best. I love it.
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down - Man, this is a classical song. The horns, the melody, the lyrics, everything is there. I remember listening to this song when they showed The Last Waltz on TV. Pure magic.
Virgil Caine is the name, and I served on the Danville train,
